Pyjama Day

Tuesday 1st October was International Day of Older Persons and Pyjama Day at BNIS.  Children and staff wore their pyjamas to school for the day - some even brought in teddies, dressing gowns and slippers too!

The suggestion was put forward by the School Council as a day they would like to do as a fundraiser. This presented a perfect opportunity to raise money on this day or recognition, for the 'League of Mercy' - a charity who support vulnerable older people gain the appropriate support they need when they are no longer able to look after themselves.

Children and staff purchased pyjama passes for 50ksh (or more!) to enable them to have the opportunity to wear their pyjamas.  We raised over 12,000ksh for this important charity and had lots of fun at the same time!
