Extracurricular Life
All students participate in extracurricular activities, which provide academic, physical, and artistic opportunities in addition to the curriculum. This broadens children’s scope of learning and develops their social, personal, and emotional skills as they work collaboratively in mixed-age groups.
Popular clubs and activities include Scouts, Cookery, Nature, Taekwondo, Music, Arts and Crafts, and more. The extracurricular programme supports individual development and future prospects for study and work.

Our Community
Our school offers a vibrant calendar of community events throughout the year, including Movie Nights, Family Fun Fridays, workshops, learning celebrations, pop-up cafés, and theatre productions. These occasions provide wonderful opportunities for parents, students, and friends to connect and share in the life of the school.
Our termly ‘Forum’ meetings provide an opportunity for the Headteacher to answer general queries put forward by the parent body, whilst Parent-Teacher meetings provide a time for parents to meet formally with their child’s class teacher to discuss academic progress.
The Braeburn Nanyuki community also plays an active role beyond the school gates. We proudly support a number of local initiatives, including the popular Mt Kenya Trust 10 to 4 Bike Challenge, as well as various community, education, health, and conservation projects.

Student Leadership
Assemblies take place weekly, allowing different year groups to showcase their learning and boost the children’s confidence in the classroom. We also celebrate successes by recognising pupils’ achievements that week. Parents, friends, and visitors to Braeburn Nanyuki are welcome to join our Family Assemblies.
Our Values Assemblies support the development of our children’s social and emotional skills, helping them become responsible citizens
