This term, Year 3 and 4 took to the stage to perform The Porridge Play, a fun and exciting show filled with mystery, laughter, and lots of porridge.
The story followed a clever detective named Jack Spratt as he tried to solve strange crimes happening in Happy Valley. Someone had stolen Ma Hubbard’s recipe book, Marigold the cow had gone missing, and Papa Bear seemed to be hiding a big secret about his porridge business. With each clue, the mystery grew — and Jack had to work hard to uncover the truth.
The children did a fantastic job playing all the funny and interesting characters. They spoke clearly, sang songs with lots of energy, and acted with great confidence. The audience laughed, clapped, and enjoyed every moment.
Teachers and parents helped with the costumes, props, and setting up the stage. It was a team effort, and the final show was amazing.
The Porridge Play was a big success! Well done to all the children in Year 3 and 4 for putting on such a fun and memorable performance.
