This week has seen the return of our Athletics Mornings, in epic style! After lots of coaching and practice during PE and Games lessons the children were ready and raring to show off their sporting prowess. With many different events ranging from sack races, javelin, running sprints to tug of war and parent races... the mornings were certainly action packed.
The children took to each event with zeal and demonstrated excellent sportspersonship. The competitors had ample encouragement from both Mrs Gould on the speaker system and their parents cheering on from the sidelines. It was wonderful to see the BNIS community coming together to celebrate the success of our amazing athletes!
As always the parents / teachers races brought in huge cheers from the crowds. The excitement of the race got to a few parents and we saw mid-race tumbles that were styled out with rolly pollies and press ups alike! Mr Franco maintained his reputation with impressive wins across multiple sprints, Mrs MacKay shot onto the scene with a phenomenal win in her race and Miss Rose wowed with her impressive ability in long jump. Thank you to all the parents (and teachers) who participated and those who provided such wonderful support!
