Beyond the Book Cover

5th March 2026

On Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, BNIS was transformed into a living library as both the children and staff celebrated World Book Day. The Podo Theatre became the heart of the celebration, buzzing with electric energy as the annual costume parade commenced. From timeless classics to modern favourites, the stage saw an incredible array of characters come to life. Each class took their turn to showcase their outfits, met with cheers and applause from their peers in a heartwarming display of school spirit.

The activities extended far beyond the theatre! Throughout the morning, teachers hosted a carousel of book activities, keeping the children engaged. One of the most highlights was the Door Decoration Competition. Leading up to the day, classes worked tirelessly to decorate their doors based on their current or recent class reads. Another highlight was a visit to the Books & Bloom Bookshop, where children excitedly chose new books to take home.

A massive "Well Done" goes out to the parents, whose hard work and creativity were evident in the intricate and imaginative costumes worn by the children.

As the decorations come down and the costumes are tucked away, the buzz of excitement remains as a reminder that at BNIS, every day is a good day to get lost in a book!
