Our young authors at BNIS have been busy busy putting pen to paper! Every year, Brookhouse International School Karen hosts an exciting illustrated writing competition, and we are so proud of the talent our students showed this year. The children dived straight into their imaginations, working on two magical themes: Years 1 - 4 ‘ The Rainbow that Lost its Colours’ and Years 5 - 7 ‘ The Midnight Library of Impossible Books’. This was a wonderful chance for them to show off their creativity and their genuine love for storytelling. They didn't hold back, they jumped right in!
On Monday, our 2 children in Year 5 and 7 respectively travelled to Brookhouse Karen for a special writing workshop. It was a dynamic and inspiring morning! The children learned how to move beyond their first drafts. They discovered how small, deliberate writing choices like picking the perfect word or changing a sentence's pace can make a story much more exciting and atmospheric. After the workshop, they worked hard to refine their final drafts before the judging began.
A huge well done to everyone who entered and represented BNIS so brilliantly. We are thrilled to announce some special achievements: Anna, Arietta and Evie who came first place in their categories as well as Jamie who was highly commended in his category.
We are so proud of your hard work and your incredible stories. Keep writing!
