Big kids fun

30th January 2020

On Thursday 30th January, the children and teachers from Years 7 and 8 all piled onto the bus and headed over to the Mt Kenya Climbing Gym in Nanyuki. The children ate lunch there and then launched in to some climbing. It was a fun opportunity for them to bond with their peers outside of school and in a more relaxed environment. It was also a good opportunity to push themselves to do something challenging, and many were very pleased about what they were able to accomplish. There was opportunity to vertically scale the tall wall, and also climb sideways on the bouldering wall. Children also had a go with some of the gym equipment which builds strength and endurance.

The Mt Kenya Climbing Gym run an afterschool club for children from our the school every Monday. Children are collected from school and take to the climbing wall where they are taught the skills of climbing. Please get further information from the school office if you think your child would be interested.
