We've had an incredible half-term exploring the world of biomes! From tall rainforests to dry deserts, the children have become expert geographers, learning about the special plants, animals, and weather in each major life zone on Earth.

Our biggest learning activity was a hands-on project where the children created dioramas of their favourite biomes. Their creativity was amazing! Using different materials like paint and cardboard, they brought their chosen environments to life. We saw detailed models of the icy Tundra, the lively Savanna, and the dense Tropical Rainforest.

The best part was sharing their work at the school assembly. The children spoke confidently about their biomes, explaining what made each one unique. This led to a fantastic discussion where they shared:

It was wonderful when many children recognised and talked about the Savanna biome, which is found in different parts of our country. This helped make the learning feel relevant and personal.
This project was a big success, helping our young scientists understand important concepts about nature and sparking a deep appreciation for the beauty and variety of life on our planet. Well done to everyone for their brilliant work.
