BNIS Cross Country

8th May 2026

The annual KAIS Cross Country event was held on May 2nd at Tambuzi Farm in Burguret, Nanyuki, bringing together nine schools and approximately 260 participants. The event remains a highlight of the calendar due to its challenging mixed terrain and unique setting.

Races were organized by age group: U9s competed over 3 km, U11s over 3.5 km, and U13s over 4 km. Our students have been preparing consistently throughout the year as part of the school running club, demonstrating great commitment and discipline in the lead-up to the competition.

Conditions on the day were ideal, with clear skies and favorable weather. All schools arrived on time and well-prepared to compete. The event was bolstered by enthusiastic spectators, while BNIS marshals ensured smooth coordination throughout the day.

Our students delivered an impressive performance. The U11 girls and U13 girls both secured first place in their categories, and every participant demonstrated determination, resilience, and strong character.

We would like to highlight several outstanding individual results: Kyle finished in 1st place, Eliza in 2nd, Edie in 2nd, and Tazim in 3rd. Overall, the team finished in 2nd place out of nine schools—a result that reflects the sustained effort and preparation put in behind the scenes.

We extend our appreciation to the coaches and teachers for their guidance, to the parents for their continued support and encouragement, and to everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event.
