The annual BNIS Sports and Athletics Day brought children, teachers, and parents together for an unforgettable morning filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and fun.
The morning kicked off with children from Year 5 to Year 8, who impressed everyone with their athletic abilities in track races and playful teamwork in obstacle courses and relays.
The session concluded with spirited football matches, where mixed-age teams competed with great spirit and sportsmanship. Parents and teachers joined the action with their own races, modelling the importance of staying active and having fun.
Younger children from Year 1 to Year 4 took center stage in the second session, bringing boundless energy and excitement to each race. Obstacle courses and track events were the stars of the session, but the ultimate highlight was the tug-of-war challenge between parents and BNIS staff. A huge congratulations to the parents for their victory—though the staff are already planning their comeback next year!
Beyond the fun and games, the event served as an excellent warm-up for the BNIS athletic team ahead of upcoming KU Athletics and IAPS Athletics events. The Sports and Athletics Day strengthened team spirit and prepared our children for the challenges ahead.
