BNIS Sports Day

15th March 2024

This year's Sports Day was a long awaited one due to our field being under construction in Term 1, however, it did not disappoint! As Mt Kenya towered over us all, special moments were shared on the green grass of our new field.

The day was brimming with athleticism, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of school community as the children competed for house points. Children from Year 1 to 8 competed in a range of running events, hurdles, sack races, wicket relays, tunnel races and hockey relays. There was even an opportunity to win points for their house in a football match.

The adult races were a highlight for many children, bringing laughter and joy to everyone. The Sports Day itinerary was carefully crafted to suit each child's interests and abilities, ensuring everyone was included and contributed to their house's success. The day was all about participation, positivity, and most importantly, fun.

After a day of, literally, breathtaking competitions, Simba and Chui tied for first place, with Duma house coming in second. These points were added to the termly total and with only two weeks left and not much point different between the houses...who knows who will win this term!

A huge thanks to our dedicated teachers, coaches, and staff for organising such a fantastic event. The support of parents added to the vibrant atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
