The BNIS Swimming Gala was a big success this year, with three days of exciting events. It started on Monday with Year 5-8 in the pool, followed by Year 2-4 on Tuesday, and ended with Early Years and Year 1 on Wednesday. Each day was filled with energy, teamwork, and lots of poolside fun!
Year 2 to 8 children competed in races, earning points for their Houses while showing their skills in the four swimming strokes. They also practiced water safety, breath control, teamwork, and swimming with their eyes open underwater. It was great to see their confidence and progress!
Our youngest swimmers, Early Years and Year 1, impressed their parents by demonstrating their swimming skills. Their activities focused on basic swimming techniques, and it was wonderful to see how much they had learned.
Swimming is an important life skill, and we made sure all races were ability-based so that every child could participate and feel comfortable. The fun didn’t stop with the children, parents also joined in their own race, showing great enthusiasm and team spirit.
A big thank you to the parents, children, and staff for making this year’s BNIS Swimming Gala such a fantastic event. We can’t wait for next year’s splash-filled celebration.
