Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

The Creche children have been developing their knowledge through books. Our current book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? The children show great excitement as they remember the different coloured animals in the book. They have been associating the colours and animals with their immediate environment and own lives. “I eat grapes, and they are purple in colour,” a child said. “I am wearing blue socks,” another one said. It has been a fun way to learn colours and to count the number of animals in the story.
Children have delighted in independently 'reading' the book and saying the words in the story. What a fun way of building our vocabulary!
