It’s been a high-energy term for the Running Club. Our sessions have focused on more than just speed; we’re building technique, endurance, and lifelong healthy habits. Whether it’s sprinting, middle distance, or long distance, our coaches are working to ensure every child discovers the event that fits their unique talent.
The growth of the club over the last four years has been incredible to witness. A genuine running culture has taken root here. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, the turnout is fantastic, and it’s hard not to feel motivated with the sun rising over Mt. Kenya as our backdrop.

The team is currently gearing up for two major events:
To give our runners the best advantage, we’ve already moved some training sessions to Tambuzi Farm. This allows the children to familiarise themselves with the actual course and terrain. This past week, coaches recorded baseline timings for every athlete. These aren’t just numbers; they provide a personal target for each runner to chase and help us fine-tune our drills as we approach final selections.
As we head into the holidays, we encourage parents to help the children keep up their momentum. A few light runs over the break will make all the difference when we return for competition season.
For those not yet in the club, there is always room for more! It’s a brilliant way to kickstart the day with fresh air and focus. We are confident that with this level of dedication, our athletes will represent the school with immense pride.
