At Braeburn Nanyuki, extracurricular activities are an important part of helping children grow. They provide chances to build confidence, discover new interests, and learn valuable life skills. Our clubs are designed to complement classroom learning, following the National Curriculum, Braeburn Circles, and British Values.
Some clubs focus on creativity and hands-on learning. In Photography Club, children learn how to take great photos by working on composition and lighting. Baking Club teaches measuring and teamwork as the children make delicious chocolate chip cookies to share. The Bushcraft Club connects children with nature, teaching practical skills and environmental care inspired by the work of Wangari Maathai.
Sports and performance clubs also give children exciting ways to grow. Hockey Club teaches teamwork and communication as they prepare for tournaments, while Dodgeball helps improve agility and fair play. Drama Club is helping children prepare for a fantastic production of Romeo and Juliet, building their confidence and creativity. Scouts work on leadership and outdoor skills, learning the value of teamwork and community service.
