The Wednesday Clubs this term have been a hit among many participants. These clubs offer a chance for children to tap into their creative, active or linguistic sides and learn a new skill or two.
The children in Loom Band Club have enjoyed planning and creating different pieces with the colourful bands. It is also a great activity for building control in those finger and hand muscles.
The Lego Club pupils have also built up these muscles, along with their spatial awareness and problem-solving skills.
The Weaving Club combines traditional crafts with a contemporary touch, this is a particularly relaxing club for the Year 3 and 4 students. One member recalled the surprise the first time she weaved into a paper cup, she didn't know it was possible!
In the Paper Art Club, children have been making toucans and other creatures out of different types of paper. This one is another calming way to end the day.
Our sport-enthusiasts are thriving in clubs like Netball, Tag Rugby, and Football. Developing skills in teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. These clubs are great for those who like to keep moving at the end of the day.
The Board Games Club is a platform for strategic thinking, social interaction, and fun competition. 'I am looking forward to learning some fun card tricks,' expressed one club member eagerly.
Our Scouts have been active, utilising the recent rains to replant their vegetable garden with cabbages, tomatoes, carrots, and peppers. Their efforts have resulted in a flourishing garden, filling them with pride.
Lastly, our Spanish club offers an exciting exploration of language and culture. Through interactive activities children broaden their linguistic horizons and develop a deeper understanding of Spanish speaking cultures.
As we witness the holistic development of our pupils across these clubs, we'd like to thank the teachers for organising these positive experiences for our children.
