COBIS Art Competition

26th February 2022

We were invited to take part in this year's COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Art Competition.

Over the half term we set the children the challenge to produce a piece of art based on the theme 'Looking Ahead'. They were able to use any medium and were not limited by size. We had a fabulous range of pieces from across the school, that demonstrated the wealth of talent that we have at BNIS. We were impressed with the range of mediums that the children choose: sculpture, painting, colouring and sketching to name a few.

After showcasing all the entries in Monday’s assembly, staff later re-viewed and voted for three entries from each Key Stage to go forward to the COBIS competition. This was a very hard task and teachers looked for pieces that filled the brief of ‘Looking Ahead’. We are now very excited to see if any of our submissions will be recognised by the COBIS judges.

All the entries are now displayed in the ICT room so that they can be admired by all and encourage us to ‘look ahead’ with optimism. Parents will also be able to view them during our Decade Finale Event.
