BNIS has always proudly taken part in the annual COBIS Poetry Competition, and this year was no exception! The theme, ‘Through Another’s Eyes,’ invited young poets to step into someone else’s world; to see life, emotions, and experiences from a fresh perspective.
Children from Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, and Key Stage 3 eagerly took up the challenge, crafting beautiful, heartfelt, and imaginative poems that reflected empathy, understanding, and creativity. Each of these offered a glimpse of life through different lenses, capturing unique emotions and perspectives showcasing the depth and originality of our children’s minds.
As we send off our entries for this year’s competition, we remain hopeful and excited for great results. Beyond the competition, what stands out most is the enthusiasm and effort our learners displayed in expressing themselves through poetry. Their ability to weave words, feelings, and imagery together demonstrates not only their creativity but also a growing confidence in their writing.
We are immensely proud of every participant for taking the time to write, revise, and share their poetic voices.
