Creche Goes to the Farm

25th November 2021

This term Creche have covered many different topics and by far one of their favourites was Farm Animals.

The children learnt the features of different animals and as a follow up activity, we took a to Cape Chestnut. The excitement was there from the onset: children could not hide their joy as they sat down on the big yellow bus and made sure they were all buckled up for the short ride ahead.

And from there, it only got better! There were different animals on the farm; starting at the cow shed, the children got to see cows and had fun trying to guess how many legs the animals had as well as trying to figure out which of them was bigger than the rest.

They then moved on to the donkey’s grazing area. The children were very brave, gathering around the donkeys and listening to them as they brayed.

Finally, the children got to pet a calf before sitting down for some snacks and rest.

What a wonderful experience!
