Early Years Sports Morning

On a bright and sunny Friday morning, our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Sports morning started with lots of excitement and happy laughter. We were glad to welcome four schools: Tigs, Malesi, Waldorf, and Braintree. The weather was perfect, and everyone was smiling, ready for a fun day.
We began with a big warm-up where all the children, teachers, and parents joined in. It was lovely to see everyone moving and having fun together. This set a happy and lively mood for the rest of the day.
Children were grouped into 10 mixed teams, each proudly wearing their team colours. Together, they rotated around a series of 10 engaging and active stations, designed to challenge, entertain and inspire teamwork. The variety of activities ensured there was something for every child to enjoy, including:
- The Shopping Spree – A fast-paced game of collecting and delivering
- Tunnels and Wicket Game – A mix of crawling and aiming fun
- Ice Cream Game – A balancing challenge with a sweet twist
- Teddy Bear Race – A cuddly dash to the finish line
- Obstacle Race – Climbing, crawling, and zigzagging galore
- The Floor is Lava – A favourite among the children, testing agility and imagination
- Crawling Game – Low to the ground and full of giggles
- Bunny Station – Hopping, bouncing, and lots of laughter
- Flat Races – Pure sprinting fun
- Free-Play ent – Letting off steam and enjoying some building with blocks
The children were full of energy and excitement all morning. They cheered for each other and tried their best in every game. It was wonderful to see so many happy and confident faces having fun and staying active in such a friendly and caring setting.
To end this special day, every child got a medal a shiny reminder that everyone is a winner at our Sports morning. Each child went home with a medal around their neck and a big smile on their face, feeling proud and happy.
