Following FS1’s exciting trip to the Animal Orphanage, FS2 children embarked on an exploration of the Nanyuki River, while Creche children set off on a bug hunt at the William Holden Centre. The week was filled with fun and discovery, with perfect weather allowing uninterrupted outdoor adventures.
FS2 children brought their ‘Under the Sea’ learning to life, imagining mangroves and sea caves as they walked through the forested path to the river. They paddled in the water and even attempted crab fishing, making connections between their studies and real-life exploration.
Meanwhile, Creche children eagerly listened to a talk about insects before embarking on a mini bug hunt. They were especially captivated by worms and were thrilled to learn the fun fact that worms can pee.
It was a week of fun and learning for the EYFS children as they explored nature and discovered new things outdoors.
