8th January 2025
Term 1’s Final Day Bonanza was a celebration filled with festive cheer. The day kicked off with children from EYFS to Year 8 mastering their entrepreneurial skills at their market stalls which were overflowing with ornaments, delicious treats, and Christmas-themed items.
The youngest children from EYFS drew a crowd with their ice cream and Year 1/2 filled bags with Christmas decorations, bracelets, and necklaces.
Year 3 and 4 displayed their business acumen by offering a tempting range of goodies such as hot chocolate, chocolate fudge, marshmallows, and cookie-making kits—perfect for creating homemade gingerbread cookies. Year 3 stood out by achieving the highest profit margin at the event - well done!
Year 6 turned heads by selling biltong - a first for this annual event. They not only sold oput but also took advanced orders for delivery in January. Their advertising and branding was a cut-above.
Year 7 turned their profit through Christmas-themed clothing and decorative artwork, while Year 8 offered engaging activities such a football-shooting range and face-painting.
As the entrepreneurial buzz wound down, a magical moment captured everyone’s hearts. Santa arrived in style, riding across the school field on eco-friendly camels, accompanied by cheerful elves. He delighted children with a gift for each oof them and he happily posed for photos.
The festivities continued with performances by the junior and senior choirs, followed by ballet by Kwach’s and some of his club members.
It was a day to remember!
