2nd March 2023
Last week was filled with passing, shooting and dribbling as our Under 7 Football team took to the field on Friday to represent us in the KAISSO Under 7 Football Festival. The KAISSO Under 7 Football Festival was held at our own BNIS fields, hosting 7 schools that were ready and excited to build their football skills through friendly competition.
The event had a total of 11 teams including 2 teams from BNIS, who displayed great sportsmanship and team spirit making both their parents and coaches proud. Children came out to support their friends with handmade signs and plenty of cheering. BNIS cheered for the other schools, showing great sportsmanship. It was wonderful to see every game ending with the teams shaking hands. The parents eagerly watched from the sidelines, shouting plenty of encouraging words.
Everyone's a winner in a festival and each player went home with a medal to mark the festive day and their outstanding efforts in every game, including our own BNIS teams. Good job!
The football fun didn’t end there, as on Saturday all roads led to Mount Kenya Academy where our Under 11 and Under 13 boys and girls teams made new friends and developed their skills further in a number of friendly games that showcased BNIS’ ability to foster relationships and build ties with neighbouring schools that will benefit our sports growth and culture. We look forward to other fixtures and competitions with the same amazing sportsmanship in the future!
