19th May 2023
In an exhilarating showcase of determination and skill, our U13 boys and girls teams took to the pitch on Friday 19th May in friendly matches against the children from Three Rivers Academy.
The U13 boys exhibited exceptional resolve throughout their game, employing a range of skills and tactics which they have honed during the Tuesday training sessions. Patience was a key attribute as they skilfully moved the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, posing a constant threat to their opponents' goal. Their technical proficiency and strategic knowledge have seen tremendous growth since their last match. Their sportsmanship was on display through their obvious commitment to fair play and camaraderie. Although they conceded a last-minute goal, they departed the field with their heads held high, proud of their efforts in an entertaining game.
Our girls team, comprised of talented Year 6, 7, and 8 students, embraced a challenging encounter against the Three Rivers Academy team head on. Despite most of the opposing team being older, our girls fearlessly engaged and fought admirably. Their determination and resilience were on full display resulting in a narrow loss of 1-0. The performance was further evidence of their strength, skill, and unwavering spirit. The PE team is brimming with pride as a result of these exceptional young athletes, recognising the tremendous effort they put forth against formidable opposition.
Both teams have shown real personal growth and dedication to learning and implementing new skills and tactics; they are applauded for representing BNIS with pride and showcasing the values of sportsmanship and determination.
