Not only have we had the pleasure of meeting around 50 new children in the last week but we have also welcomed some new staff.
Mrs McGladdery has joined us as our FS1 teacher. She has taught in the UK, Abu Dhabi and Dubai and is incredibly passionate about Early Years education. We are excited that she is bringing a fresh new set of ideas to help us take this wonderful part of our school to even higher heights.
In Year 4, we welcome Mrs Tomkins. She has taught in many schools in various parts of the UK, and is an incredibly experienced professional. She has really enjoyed her start to her time at the school (despite an ankle injury) and we are confident that she will bring out the best in all the children in her care.
Miss Kimori, Miss Anyango and Miss Faith join our classroom support team this year, working in Year 5, FS2 and Year 3 respectively. Their role is to support the teachers to ensure we meet all needs effectively. As with all our teaching assistants, they are fully qualified teachers who are registered with the Kenyan Teachers Service Commission.
Mr Simon Mungai will shortly join us as our Service Manager. This is a new role to the school and is a sign of our continued growth and development. He will be responsible for supporting Mrs Gould with the operational of the school which will include Health and Safety, maintenance, kitchen operations, transport planning, events organisation and a whole array of other things. He is very experienced in this area and is joining us from a large International School in Nairobi where he has been managing two campuses.
