FS1 on Safari

Our FS1 children have loved their topic ‘On Safari’ especially, sharing their knowledge about animals and adding new information. On Friday 24th January, they set off with great excitement for a trip to the Mount Kenya Animal Orphanage to enhance their learning. It was clear from their faces how much they enjoyed their own face-to-face, immersive animal encounters. The children saw several amazing animals but the highlight of the trip was definitely the lion’s den! They came back buzzing with information about what they had seen and learnt. There was curiosity about the sounds the animals made as well as intrigue about the patterns they saw on the animals.
