Game On

8th May 2026

The Rugby and Netball term at Braeburn Nanyuki has kicked off with incredible momentum, following a successful set of opening fixtures for our U9 and U11 teams at Pembroke. This high-energy start continues next week as our U13s travel for their own matches, providing a vital opportunity to sharpen tactical skills and endurance for the busy season ahead. In line with new IAPS developments, our U9 netballers have officially transitioned from "High Five" to the 7-a-side format—a strategic move designed to deepen their positional understanding and bridge the gap toward senior competitive standards.

Beyond the scores, our focus remains on fostering a culture of sportsmanship and total inclusivity. At Braeburn Nanyuki, we champion the idea that there are no "girls' sports" or "boys' sports"; every student is encouraged to pick up a rugby ball or take to the netball court. This commitment to equality is perfectly highlighted by our U13 girls, who will be competing in a Touch Rugby tournament at the Ndume 7s alongside their netball fixtures. As we look forward to a calendar full of exciting play, we are eager to see our students grow in character and athleticism, making us proud with every whistle.
