Get splashing with FS2

3rd November 2022

Water play is one of the most popular activities in EYFS. The FS2 children always look forward to their water play on Wednesday afternoons. Water play activities help to develop and strengthen children's gross and fine motor skills. Children’s coordination, gross motor skills and physical fitness are enhanced through lifting, pouring, carrying, running and splashing, while actions such as squeezing help to develop the small muscles in a child's hands. Water play also allows children to explore and interact with each other. As children play, they will be excited to communicate their discoveries to everyone around them. Amazing that a fun activity such as water play can have a multitude of benefits for the children.
