The Year 3 and 4 production is fast approaching and excitement is building as children are getting ready to share their passion for Ancient Greece. It no doubt comes with relief to the rest of the school, including Year 3 and 4 parents, who have found it hard to get the "Go For Gold' song out of their ears over the last month!
Ancient Greece gave the modern world so much of what makes us modern: democracy, The Olympics, theatre, marathons and maps!
During this term, the children have been enthusiastically rehearsing their lines, mastering their stage presences and embodying their roles as gods, heroes and civilians. The plot switches between the present day and Ancient Greece, and follows athletes as they prepare for the Olympic Games. Teachers have marvelled at children’s improved confidence and memorising skills as they have all stepped up to put on what is sure to be a show stopper.
Will Suzie Swift, the gifted Kenyan athlete, take part in the olympic games?
Will Hades, God of the Underworld, cancel the Olympic Games althogether?
Come and watch on Friday 1st July at 2pm to find out!
