Hands on Learning

24th September 2021

Children love getting their hands dirty when playing and exploring the world around them. Messy play gives the children a great opportunity to learn about different materials and textures using their whole bodies, helping them to expand their vocabulary as they think about how to describe the different things they can see, feel, hear, smell and taste.

Children in Creche have been getting creative during messy play, producing masterpieces in a range of materials. The chance to make the most out of the resources on offer allows children to develop their social skills at the same time, as they learn to take turns, show preferences and make choices
