Happy Diwali!

5th November 2021

Children have had a blast exploring Dinosaurs in EYFS and it is amazing to see and hear how much information they can absorb. Teachers have observed the children identifying dinosaurs by name or making guesses about how the dinosaurs moved or what they ate by looking at dinosaur pictures.

Everyone had fun creating volcano eruptions, which is one of the theories explaining how the dinosaurs became extinct. The children also had fun cracking dinosaur ‘eggs’ to hatch baby dinosaurs.

On Thursday 4th November, Early Years learnt about and celebrated the Hindu festival of Diwali. The children had a great time designing Rangoli patterns, creating Diyas, Mendi hand colouring and so much more.

It has been wonderful to see the children making good use of the outdoor learning areas like the mud kitchen for role play and enriching their learning in areas like language and Maths.
