This week, the Year 3 children began their scientific exploration into the field of electricity. They learnt how to use electricity safely and distinguished the differences between electrical and non-electrical appliances. The highlight of the week was an engaging, practical challenge that had them buzzing with excitement.
The scientists were introduced to the concept of a circuit. They were offered a variety of materials, including batteries, wires, and bulbs. They were then divided into groups and tasked with the challenge of creating a complete circuit by working together.
The classroom was a hive of activity as the students eagerly experimented with the components, working together to make their circuits become live. Laughter and discussion filled the air as they shared their ideas and discoveries.
The pinnacle of the lesson arrived when one group successfully constructed a complete circuit that lit up a bulb. The collective amazement, cheers and applause echoed through the classroom; creating a memorable moment for the children in Year 3.
