Inheritance & Adaptation

This week, our Year 6 children have been learning about inheritance and adaptation in Science. They explored how traits are passed from parents to their children and how differences make each person unique.
To make learning fun, they created their own characters using Mr. Men and Little Miss designs, identifying traits that could be inherited. They also looked at how animals adapt to their surroundings to survive. After learning about different types of adaptations, they designed their own imaginary creatures, perfectly suited to their chosen environments.
The children have really enjoyed this topic and are excited to learn more about how species change and develop over time. We look forward to seeing their curiosity grow in the coming weeks.
