This week the school was transported to Broadway! Within our very own Podo Theatre the Year 5 and 6s put on an all singing and dancing performance of ‘What’s the Crime Mr Wolf’. This epic production was set within a Forest Courtroom, overseen by Nora as Judge Feathers the thespians played out the trial of Mr Wolf, Tito.
Interspersing the Oscar worthy acting, the whole cast raised the roof with their epic singing and choreography. Comic timing was the order of the day, laughter echoed out as the Moles waddled onto stage pink rubber gloves adoring their feet and hands. Familiar characters from childhood fairytales were re-imagined with Little Red Riding Hood and her friends causing chaos in the courtroom trying to take selfies with each other. The Three Little Pigs arrived for their turn on the dock, only there were actually 7 little pigs!
A strong prosecuting team of Mr Mann, Liam and Justin Case, Kayla did their best to take down Mr Wolf; but Mrs Wolf, Hayley, was quick to cross examine the witnesses. Taking into consideration the evidence from Granny and the Naturalists as well as the valuable input of Inspector Green, Constable Twig and Bark the Police Dog. Judge Feathers handed over the jury, the audience, to pass the final judgement. Luckily for Mr Wolf he was found NOT GUILTY in both performances... a narrow escape some may say!
Congratulations to all the children for showcasing such talent and thank you to all the teachers for the gigantic effort that went into producing such an outstanding play.
