Mud about Messy Play

29th February 2024

This half-term, the FS1 children have been getting enormous satisfaction from their messy play. This activity fosters communication, the sharing of ideas, and the forging of friendships among the FS1 children as they play and work together. Children eagerly embrace getting their hands dirty while they explore various textures and materials.

The children have been concocting potions, mixing and pouring various liquids with soil, resulting in astonishing creations ranging from pizzas to snowmen and volcanoes.

During messy play, the FS1 children take the lead, exploring opportunities provided both indoors and outdoors, revelling in playing with mud.

So, roll up your sleeves, embrace the mess, and watch as your child's imagination and curiosity soar!
