Mud, Medals, and Memories

On Saturday 9th May, we proudly sent a team of 31 athletes to represent us at the IAPS Cross Country competition at St. Andrew’s Turi. Following a strong showing the previous week, the children arrived full of confidence and energy.
Upon arrival, the team settled into their camp and navigated a muddy, slippery course walk to familiarise themselves with the challenging terrain. After a relaxing evening of dinner and a bonfire, the pupils were ready for the main event.
On competition day, every runner demonstrated exceptional courage and resilience. While we did not secure an individual podium this year, the team’s sportsmanship was outstanding. A special highlight was our U13 Girls’ team, who secured an impressive 3rd place finish in their category.
A huge thank you to the staff and coaches for their dedicated planning and guidance, and to the parents for their unwavering support throughout the season.
