October Food Drive Success

October Food Drive for The Furaha Foundation Nanyuki
This Friday our Year 8 Charity Events Leader, Head Boy and Head Girl alongside parent representatives from FANs delivered your donations that were collected during our October Food Drive.
At the Furaha Foundation, they visited the Lower Primary School, where they met with the Social Workers who help the children to escape extreme hardship and neglect and to seek a safe haven at the Foundation. The Foundation itself is heavily reliant on donations, especially currently as they are pooling what little resources they have into building a perimeter fence as they have recently been the target of thefts.
Our Year 8’s gave a short speech explaining how the donations were collected and handed them over to children. The children were hugely grateful for the donations and were also very excited to have visitors at their school.
