Pitch Perfect Beginnings

Last Saturday, Braeburn Nanyuki proudly took part in its very first IAPS vocal festival competition an Banda School. Eight talented children, who had been working hard since last term and even through the holidays, stepped onto the stage ready to sing their hearts out.
The competition included two categories: Under 11 and Under 12 solos, and Under 11 and Under 12 ensembles. We were proud to enter two soloists in each age group, along with two vocal ensembles. It was an exciting and challenging experience for everyone involved.
The standard of singing across all schools was incredibly high. While we didn’t place in the top three this time, we received encouraging feedback and helpful tips from the judges that will guide us as we prepare for future performances.
Well done to all the children who took part, you showed great courage, commitment, and growth. This was a fantastic first step, and we look forward to many more musical moments to come!
