Poetry in Year 2

11th June 2021

Children in Year 2 have been writing some poems about stars using interesting adverbs, adjectives and similes. This was an interesting and fun way to learn some grammar whilst producing some super poetry. They began by making collections of suitable, interesting adverbs and adjectives then thought of verbs they could use to make a simile. The children all practised performing their poems with expression. Seven children read theirs out in assembly last Friday. They all performed really well and could be heard right at the back of the theatre.
