25th October 2025
On Friday 24th October, we hosted our annual Rafiki Night - this year at Antonia's Kitchen. Everyone arrived to find the cafe beautifully presented, cosy and ready for the evening of making friends and meeting people. Thanks to the team there for making everyone so welcome and for the delicious 'rolling tapas' that kept brains ticking and tummies full during the evening.
The aim of the event is to bring people together to make new connections. Staff and parents are all invited and it always ends up being a really fun evening, supported by a quiz to help the conversation flow. The initial ice-breaker questions helped people find out interesting facts about others, including that in Mrs Gould's life before teaching she hand-made her own futon (a Japanese mattress)!
Everyone was randomly grouped into teams and the quiz took over; competitive spirits were ignited and everyone had lots of fun. The anagrams round, which used teachers' names, was a notable hit - Mrs Emma Gould will probably be called Mega Mould for the rest of her life and who would have known that Mr Martin Mulongo was the Glum Nominator!

Thanks to all who came, and the efforts made. Congratulations to the winning team!
