Our sports season is officially underway, with 45 students from Year 3 to Year 8 recently taking part in a series of friendly fixtures against Pembroke House and Turi. Coming in only the second week of the term, these matches provided a vital opportunity for our young athletes to transition from the training ground to a competitive setting, allowing them to apply their classroom learning under pressure.
The Under 9 and Under 11 teams represented the school in rugby and netball, while the Under 13 group showcased their versatility by adding tennis to the day’s lineup. Across all disciplines, our students demonstrated impressive focus and a high level of effort. The rugby pitches saw a display of grit and teamwork through committed tackling and several well-earned tries. On the netball courts, the players moved the ball with precision, showing excellent passing and consistency in their goal-scoring. Meanwhile, our tennis participants impressed with their endurance, sustaining long rallies in many closely contested games.

Overall, the performances reflected significant progress and a clear grasp of the skills introduced during PE lessons. While the day was a great success, the focus now remains on continued development as the students return to their regular training sessions. We extend a sincere thank you to the sports department for their organization and to all the parents for their steadfast support on the sidelines.
