Sagana White-water Rafting

This week, the Year 3s and 4s were extremely lucky to head to Sagana for an adventure trip with Savage Wilderness.

The trip was organised as part of our block of learning on ‘Holidays’, and adventure holidays in Kenya in particular. From rock climbing and zip-lining to white-water rafting, swimming and team building, this was a fabulous trip that everyone loved.

Many children pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, whether that was facing their fear of heights when on the climbing wall, or going through the rapids of the River Tana in a raft. Even crossing the suspension bridge to get to our cottages left us (literally!) swaying. Being independent and looking after our belongings was also a good challenge.

Thanks so much to Savage Wilderness for the safe, professional and fun all-round experience they gave us. We can’t wait for other Braeburn children to discover what there is on offer at this awesome destination.

Millie: ‘Rafting was really fun because when we went down a rapid we got so wet.’

Allison: ‘When we did zip-lining I felt like I was Tarzan swinging through the skies…it was the best trip ever!’

Zara: ‘Sagana was amazing and so much fun. We did fun things all day long and there was so much sun.’

Arthur G: ‘It was amazing on the raft. We were having splash fights with our paddles. On the rock climbing it was a bit scary. We went zip-lining. It was stunning.’

Matilda: ‘Savage Wilderness was amazing. There are a bunch of fun activities. You should go!’
