Straight and Bendy Rays in Year 6

12th March 2021

This second half of the term in science, year 6 pupils have been learning about light. They discussed and investigated a variety of concepts about light. This week they specifically focussed on reflection and refraction of light rays. It was interesting to discover how light rays can change direction as they transition from one medium to another.

The illusion of a bent ruler when immersed in water, images changing direction when viewed through a glass of water was not just interesting but indeed spectacular.

They had such great fun … AND LEARNED SO MUCH MORE!
