This Friday in school, we revealed to the students at BNIS all the different student leaders they have for this academic year. Student leadership roles help pupils to make a change at BNIS, telling us what they would like. Our student leadership positions include house captains, wellbeing ambassadors, head pupils, class representatives and even social secretaries.
Our student leaders this year are:
HEAD PUPILS
Liam and Edie
Head Pupils are the leading voices of the student body. They represent the whole school, working closely with teachers and other student leaders to make sure BNIS is the best place it can be. They set an example through their behaviour, ideas, and leadership – showing others what it means to live out the values of our school.
HOUSE CAPTAINS
Olivia - Duma
Tito - Chui
Tiki - Simba
House Captains fire up the spirit of BNIS’ three houses – Simba, Duma and Chui – leading with pride and energy. They also come up with ideas for House competitions where members of each House can earn House Points!
STUDENT COUNCIL
Chair - Tito
Year 1 - Olive
Year 2 - Mabel
Year 3 - Sienna
Year 4 - Eli
Year 5 - Pahi
Year 6 - Harper
Year 7 - Imani
Year 8 - Tatiana
Student Council representatives bring their classmates’ ideas for school improvement straight to the Head Pupils and Senior Leadership Team – making sure every voice is heard. They help shape decisions about school life, from events and activities to how we can make learning and playtimes even better. By working together, the Student Council shows how pupils can take responsibility and make a real difference to their school community.
SOCIAL SECRETARY
Cece
The Social Secretary plays a key part in helping organise and support events such as Movie Night, FANS Family Fun Friday, and any other exciting social events that bring the BNIS community together.
WELLBEING AMBASSADORS
Lead - Jazzy
Year 5 - Norman
Year 6 - Emily
Year 7 - Evie
Year 8 - Minerva
The Wellbeing Ambassadors, led by Jazzy, keep a close eye on how everyone is doing, offering support when it’s needed most. They help promote kindness, respect, and inclusion across the school, making sure no one feels left out. By listening to their peers and encouraging positive friendships, they play a big role in keeping BNIS a happy and welcoming place for all.
We are so proud of all our student leaders for stepping up to these important roles. Each one of them will play a part in shaping life at BNIS this year, making sure that every pupil has a voice and that our school community continues to grow stronger together.
