The Rock Bottom Auditionees

21st March 2024

This week in Year 4, children immersed themselves in learning lines for their upcoming audition.

The auditions were a serious affair, with Year 4 and Year 3 children showcasing their solo singing and delivering their lines for the characters that they were hoping to act in their Term 3 performance.

Their audition performances entertained their peers and teachers, and the children showed a lot of support for one another. Getting on stage comes more naturally to some, and for some it is an act of bravery.

The musical, Rock Bottom, is set in modern day, but transports characters back in time to The Stone Age. It is filled with egg-cellent jokes to keep the audience laughing. Children in Year 3 and 4 studied the The Stone Age in November and loved it, so are happy to revisit the topic for their performance. They will be cast next week so that lines can be practised over the holidays.

With such talent and enthusiasm, we can't wait to unveil our spirited performance in June. Stay tuned for more laughter and applause.
