This past week, BNIS was treated to the EYFS performance of ‘The Ugly Fivel’ - a heart-warming story about five animals often called ugly—the wildebeest, warthog, vulture, hyena, and marabou stork. As they journey together across the savannah, they celebrate their unique features and discover that being different is something to be proud of. Along the way, they realise that to their babies, they are the most wonderful and special animals in the world. It is a joyful story about self-acceptance, friendship, and recognising true beauty.
The FS2 children shone as the Ugly Five, performing with energy and humour. FS1 children narrated the story and represented various animals, including lions, rhinos, zebras, flamingos, leopards, elephants, and giraffes. The youngest performers from the Crèche stole the show as the adorable animal babies. All the children spoke and sang with confidence, dressed in colourful and creative costumes.
A big thank you to our wonderful parents and guardians for helping with costumes and rehearsals. Special thanks to Mrs. Bebbington for the beautiful set design that brought the savannah to life.
We are so proud of all the children. It takes great courage to perform in front of the whole school, and they did it brilliantly!
