Through the Children's Eyes

Over the course of the week EYFS children took their learning outside of school when they travelled to Mt Kenya Animal Orphanage. A continuation of their theme of safaris! The child had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a range of animals, however the cheetah was definitely the most popular! The children really impressed the staff with their knowledge of different safari animals and their ability to talk confidently about them.

We decided to jump of their enthusiasm and get some opinions of the trip from the horse's mouth. Interviewing Early Years children has its challenges; several left mid-interview; a couple were eating and the interviewer sustained some very sticky finger prints. But mostly, despite trying to catch children on their own, more turned up and got very excited and wanted to give their thoughts all at the same time!
