We were proud to take part in the IAPS U11 and U13 Triathlon hosted at Braeburn Garden Estate. This unique event was a highlight we had been looking forward to since the start of the term.
Preparation began early, with interested pupils invited to train specifically for this physically and mentally demanding competition. These sessions ensured the children understood exactly what was expected across swimming, cycling, and running, helping them build both confidence and resilience. After weeks of focus, a final squad of 15 pupils was selected to represent BNIS.

Race day brought ideal weather conditions. While there was understandable excitement and a few nerves, our athletes were well-prepared. A final briefing with coaches reinforced expectations and provided last-minute motivation. The U11 girls led the charge, followed by the U11 boys, and finally the U13 girls and boys.
It was fantastic to see so many parents positioned around the course, cheering on every athlete. Your support reflected the strong sense of community at BNIS and gave the children a vital boost throughout the race.

All our athletes performed exceptionally well, competing with pride and courage. Every single child completed the triathlon—a significant achievement in itself! We were also delighted to celebrate two podium finishes: Angus placed 1st in the U11 boys category, and Edie placed 3rd in the U13 boys category.
Overall, it was a highly successful day and a true team effort. Thank you to all the staff, parents, and pupils who made this such a positive experience.
