'Trying' for victory

27th June 2026

We recently took part in the last sporting event of the year, at the annual Ndume 7s Rugby tournament at Pembroke House, where our children proudly showcased the core Braeburn values of resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship against Kenya’s top international schools.

The children hit the pitches with high energy, and put weeks of hard training into action. The U11 and U13 boys dominated scrums, made massive tackles, and defended heroically through intense contact pool stages, while the U13 girls attacked brilliantly as a unit to score fantastic tries, charging all the way to a heartbreakingly close touch rugby semifinal. Though the final whistles brought some initial disappointment, our players walked away with their heads held high, rich in lessons of perseverance after giving a collective effort.

We owe a huge thank you to our incredibly supportive coaches and parents for making the day possible, and we highly encourage parents to sign up their children for the Monday Rugby Club so we can start coaching them early and building on this fantastic momentum for next term.
