U11 Hockey Friendly

Our U11 boys and girls travelled down to Thika to take part in a friendly triangular with Braeside and Braeburn Imani. It was a long bus ride and a very early start for the children, but despite the early hour, the children’s excitement to be competing and showing off their hockey skills radiated out!
Both our teams played extremely well considering this was the first match they have played all year. Our Boys faced super tough competition, they remained resilient but were unable to secure a win. Our girls put all their training into action, starting off with a solid win 1-0 against Braeside. With this under their belts they went into their next match against Braeburn Imani with extra confidence. They kept their cool, giving the opposition a tough time, they came out victorious with a 5-0 win! Well done to all our players.
It was a fun day with lots of connections made and we hope to have many more of these friendly matches in the future.
